The Sand Story

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Yeah I am gonna tell u guys the story of Sand.

I took a handful of sand and gripped it in my hands and the sand started pouring out from between the fingers even though i held it SO TIGHT.

I took another handful and let my palms open and its free to drip down …. and of course it did.

Now when you grip the sand so hard, there’s practically nothing left.

When you dont grip the sand so hard, there’s still some sand left. But there’s still some which strayed away.

I then curved my palm and that was the best position to have the amount of sand still in the curved palm. With fingers tight together, but thumb away from the palm. Not too tight. Not too loose.

The best way to control. Control what?

Control your life? Control your spouse? Control your team? Control your financial?

Well no one’s a fool. No one’s dumb.

Everyone knows how to play the game.

You can’t control something too much, they will struggle and try get away and you will be left with nothing. Not even a memory.

You gotta find the right concoction of strength.

I pray all of us find that concoction for the different importance in life before its too late.

Happiness  is like a butterfly. If you chase after it, it will elude you. But if you sit still, it will sit on your shoulder.

There’s more to life than …

There’s more to life than work work and work.

Its true that with work you get the paycheck and with the paycheck you get the life.

However we should never be slave to work.

Small things like family, your loved ones, your friends, are part of your life too.

Imagine you work so god damn hard for a company, you put in 16 hours everyday of the week and try to be successful and no time for dinner with friends, no time to visit a friend who had an accident , no time to play with a newborn baby  and then ONE FINE DAY, your company decide to fire you.

Yeah. Think. Who would you turn to? Your friend who had an accident would not give a damn about you. Your friends who you didnt spend time with will turn their backs on you. Because YOU are the one who never cared about anyone else except yourself.

Yeah you are gonna say those arent what we call friends but who would wanna be friends with someone who will never say YES to a night out or movie or dinner or drinks or anything at all that is non work related.

Now dont get me wrong. I dont hate work. I need to pay bills and my dreams of living in financial stability is achievable. But the point of the story is GET A LIFE. Yeah sometimes apart from the 8 standard hours, we work an extra 2 or 3 hours more. But that should be all. We go home, catch a movie and rest. And not think about work. Rest the mind and put it at ease. And the next day start a brand new day. Well I cant deny the fact that I do willingly put in 16 fucking hours especially during month ends, but that will have to stop. Soon. Gotta work on it.

Oh and another story, some of you won’t understand. Only me. And a couple of others.

Learn our culture. Learn our traditions. Study our roots. Don’t go upsetting everybody.

Everything’s over

Saturday, July 8th, 2006

Everything is gone.

Its over.

He was with me only to get back at his ex.

1 year and 7 months.

Isn’t it fantastic?

Can someone feel for me?

Just my luck. I will never get over this. But try I will.

What a depressing year …

I’ll just have to keep up looking happy and motivated. Try very hard I will.

Peace and Out.

Small Things

SMALL THINGS

Often we allow ourselves to be upset by small things that we should forget about at once. Perhaps someone we helped has proven ungrateful, someone we believed to be a friend has spoken ill of us, some regard we thought we deserved has been denied to us.

We feel such disappointment so strongly that we can no longer work, or even sleep.

We lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that in a year’s time will be forgotten by us and everybody else. Let us devote our lives to worthwhile feelings and actions, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring actions for others. Life is too short to be little.

June’s Over

Saturday, July 1st, 2006

Move over, June. Here comes July.

Its like end of the month and everyone started running and sprinting to the finishing line and when we finally touched that line, we rested for 2 minutes and then started running all over again!

But hey, I enjoy it. A lot. It makes it more fun when at 9pm last day of the month and we have 4 more to budget and … suddenly we did it. Yippee! Yeay! Wooh!

And then its like …. "Pheeeeeeeeeeeeet, RESET!"

Here we go again …. MPC Referrals MPC Referrals MPC Referrals

Anyway, I love my job. Period.

Nothing will get in my way of success.
